Helena Kearns
Award winning furniture artist from Co. Armagh, Helena Kearns started upcyling with her 3 children during the first covid lockdown. Her children all have autism and their support networks, school and the autism services were stopped. This creative outlet helped cope with the stress of the pandemic. Helena has started a social enterprise in Portadown, upcycling furniture with young adults who have autism. She specialises in mixed media with a passion for colour and texture. Helena loves vintage furniture and wants to save as many pieces as she can from landfill and firewood by giving them a place in a modern home.
