Mark O'Neill

Roof Window Specialists - With a lifelong passion for construction, Roof Windows Specialist proprietor, Mark O’Neill, developed his skills in the trade from an early age, initially via his father’s contracting business. Mark was roofing houses when he was just 15 years old, and was keen to pursue a career in the industry. Completing a BTEC in Construction, followed by a degree in the same, Mark went on to work for a local construction company for three years, before working for the world’s biggest roof window manufacturer, VELUX®, which ultimately inspired him to strike out on his own to solve VELUX® customers’ concerns once their 10 year guarantee has expired. Also providing easy access to more space in the home whilst ensuring energy efficient measures are promoted were possible. Throughout his career he his always focused on getting the best possible solution for each customer ensuring the highest possible level of service.

Together we continue to encourage increased levels of energy efficiency, as well as supporting customer choice of energy supply. We work closely with –
National Energy Action (NEA) – Our work encompasses all aspects of fuel poverty, but in particular emphasises the importance of greater investment in domestic energy efficiency.
Energy Saving Trust – Our independent and impartial advice can help you lower emissions and cut energy bill costs!
Consumer Council – We provide free, independent support and advice for all consumers and businesses in Northern Ireland. We also have powers to investigate complaints about energy, water, transport and postal services and undertake research to understand local consumer issues.
The Housing Executive, through its Home Energy Conservation (HECA) role, partners with the major energy providers and leading energy charities.
By promoting innovative low carbon technologies, we can contribute to reductions in carbon emissions throughout Northern Ireland.

Visitors will gain knowledge on how natural light in the home has many benefits.Understanding how fresh air and natural daylight combined can help improve your indoor climate and lead to a healthier life. Visitors will learn how to check when its time to replace old roof windows. We will explore the best options available for roof windows, how they can be improved with the upgrading , replacement or installation of new roof windows, better loft insulation and energy saving blinds. Your Safety Visitors will learn how loft spaces can be safely accessed and never have to risk life and limb using wobbly step ladders again. We will explore ways in which to de-clutter the home and remove those common trip hazards and gain up to 20% extra storage space. We will also look at the dangers of old glazing overhead and how this can be made safe for everyone.
